On Friday which commodity had its best day in 7 years?

West Texas Intermediate soared over 12% on Friday to US$29.44 a barrel.

This was its best day since gaining 14% in February 2009.

Brent rallied 9.4% to US$32.89 a barrel.

But crude had lost around 14% over the previous four trading days.

Oil has slumped around 75% since mid-2014.
