Oman- 420 LPG vending licences issued countrywide in 2015 says MoCI

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) is revising the executive regulation for gas sale licences according to Yaaqoub bin Shayekh al Dhabouni head of oil products licences in the ministry.

He said a total of 420 licences to vendors of liquified petroleum gas were issued during 2015. Of these 82 were issued to entities in North Batinah 67 in Dakhliyah 47 in South Batinah 46 in South Sharqiyah 41 in Muscat governorate 37 in North Sharqiyah 37 in Dhahirah 30 in Musandam 19 in Buraimi and 14 in Al Wusta. "Fifteen applications for LPG warehouses are under process' he said.

According to Dhabouni seven licences countrywide for wholesale distribution were issued during 2015. Of these one was issued to wholesalers in Muscat four were issued in South Sharqiyah and two in Dakhliyah.
