Legend Judy Boucher promises Malawians superb Valentine Day Concert

The Jamaican love singer Judy Boucher has promised to dish out superb performance to the much awaited Valentine Day concert with love songs appealing for young and old generations slated for Sunday February 14 2016 at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital Lilongwe.

The Caribbean musician Boucher who is known for the love song titled 'Tears on my pillow' arrived in Malawi on Friday February 12 through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) ahead of a Valentine concert courtesy of Impact Events.

Speaking to The Maravi Post soon after addressing the news conference amid hype ahead of the show Judy assured Malawians of superb performance with love songs which will appeal young and old saying that they will demand more.

The legend Boucher who has travelled with the band hinted that her music tend to unit lost lovers and those searching new ones while disputing that her age could not stand the dancing arena for lovers during the show.

'I am here to give the best for lovers. My songs are inspirational which appeal for young and old generations. The Mum Dad and the children will sing along with me as I have brought the entire band for the live performance. The patrons to the show will demand more as they won't be enough with our performance though my age might mislead some' assures Boucher.

During the press briefing which Boucher was franked by Malawian Cum Politician-Musician Lucius Banda Wilkins Mijiga of National Bank and Umodzi Park officials sang the free style of the populous song "Tears on my pillow' which raised hype among Journalists and other attendees.

The Maravi Post later caught up with Lucius Banda the main organizer of the concert by assuring Malawians more good things his company-Impact Events will bring to enrich the country's entertainment industry.

'It's time now Malawians could stop doubting our ability to bring good things for their pleasure. It's also time we must work together as a nation in courting international artists who might rejuvenate the locals touch in a bid to match with global audience. These types of shows put our nation on the map while on the same time generating taxes for the country's economic growth' delighted Banda.

Judy Boucher was born in St Vincent in the Caribbean. Boucher released her first solo song titled 'Dreaming of little island' which was a hit in the reggae charts in 1985.So far she has released 11 albums and seven singles but she is best known for the hit songs ' Can't be with you tonight and Tears on my pillow'.

February is celebrated as a month of romance and love; an occasion where lovers express their love to each other by presenting item such as flowers confectionery and greeting cards.

Therefore Valentine's Day which falls on February 14 marks the climax which is celebrated across the world and is symbolized by heart-shaped outlines doves and the winged cherub Cupid standing ready to shoot his arrow of love in any two people who will fall head over heels in love with each other.
