HBKU holds Open House on graduate programmes

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of the Qatar Foundation for Education Science and Community Development, held a Graduate Open House for prospective students on Monday at the HBKU Student Centre.
Attendees at the Open House had the chance to hear about the university's diverse multidisciplinary programmes, and were offered the chance to attend sample lectures by professors.
Dr Imed Gallouzi, a professor of life sciences at the HBKU, said: "These events are important because they give us the chance not only to talk about what we teach in our programmes but to actually show how we teach."
The Graduate Open House offered attendees the chance to learn about four programmes that the HBKU plans to launch in the future: a Doctorate (PhD) in Computer Science and Engineering, and Master of Science (MSc) degrees in Bioengineering, Cybersecurity, and Data Science and Engineering.
Prospective students also learnt about the HBKU's portfolio of graduate programmes.
HBKU provost Dr Khaled Ben Letaief commented: "We have attracted many world-class faculty to share their knowledge with our growing student body. By offering sample lectures at our Graduate Open House, we wanted to give attendees a small glimpse of the work being done by our professors in educating tomorrow's leaders."
