Cooking gas price slashed by Dh2 across UAE

Adnoc Distribution has announced the new retail price of unsubsidised LPG cylinders for this month.

Now 25lb cylinder costs Dh42 while 50lb cylinder costs Dh83 compared to its previous prices Dh44 and Dh88 respectively.

The announcement was made after a monthly review of oil prices in the previous 30 days.

This review takes place on the tenth of each month and the new prices are effective in the next one month.

Reflecting the sluggish price trend on the international oil market LNG prices are also depressed bringing price cuts to consumers.

The UAE is world top producer of LPG with nine million metric tonnes of output a year which finds its markets in the high growth economies of China India Japan and Korea fueling their economies.

Khalid Hadi vice president of marketing and corporate communications division at Adnoc Distribution said: "The new prices reflect the global surge in the pricing of the product."

He said: "Adnoc Distribution is committed to monitoring the markets as well as following up with all relevant stakeholders in the UAE to guarantee fair implementation of the new pricing. The company wishes to reiterate its priority to provide best-in-class products and services at the most fair prices to its loyal customers."

For holders of Rahal e-Gas cards Adnoc Distribution offers LPG cylinders at subsidised prices - Dh20 for 25lb cylinders and Dh30 for 50lb cylinders across Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates.
