Turkey- EU US Russia to participate in Syria support group meeting in Munich

(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Representatives of Russia Egypt China Germany France the United Kingdom Iran Iraq Jordan Lebanon Oman Qatar Saudi Arabia Turkey and the United Arab Emirates will take part in a meeting of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) in Bavaria Germany according to the German Foreign Ministry.
A meeting of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) in Bavaria Germany in the run-up to the Munich Security Conference will be held with the participation of Russia the Arab League the European Union and the United States the German Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
Representatives of Russia Egypt China Germany France the United Kingdom Iran Iraq Jordan Lebanon Oman Qatar Saudi Arabia Turkey and the United Arab Emirates will take part in the meeting the ministry said in a statement.
The participants will discuss the implementation of the Vienna principles UN Security Council resolution 2254 on Syrian reconciliation and the continuation of the Geneva peace talks it was specified in the statement.
UN-mediated negotiations between the Syrian government and several opposition delegations in the Swiss city of Geneva were suspended last week.
