US administration puts forward ambitious 2017 budget plan

US's president delivered his budget proposal to Congress which requests USD4.1 trillion for the 2017 fiscal year to combat climate change, and boost education and technology.

Accordingly, the budget projects a government revenue increase of nearly USD308 billion, and a spending increase of USD196 billion, throughout the following year.

Obama expects to collect USD2.6 trillion from tax policy changes in the next decade, by removing benefits for the rich and updating laws on international business incomes.

"This is such a campaign document that the Republicans will almost certainly reject it out of hand because it came from Obama," said a budget analyst.
