Saudi- National plan to counter maritime disasters conducts exercise "search and rescue 37"


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The National Plan to Counter Maritime Disasters conducted a practical exercise "Search and Rescue 37" at Naval Units' headquarters of the Border Guard Command in Makkah Region today under the auspices of Vice Admiral Awad bin Eid Al-Balawi, Director of the Border Guard and Chairman of Standing National Committee to Counter Maritime Disasters in the Waters of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The official spokesman of the Border Guard and the Committee's Secretary Commodore Saher bin Mohammed Al-Harbi said the exercise came in implementation of the directives of the Crown Prince for continuous development of skills and preparations of security men in carrying out their duties to maintain security and safety in the framework of implementing the Kingdom's missions within the International Convention on Maritime Search and Rescue for the year 1979.
