QIC staff burn-off some calories


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) organised a number of sporting and recreational activities such as basketball, table tennis and martial arts as part of National Sport Day celebrations.
QIC employees and their families attended the event. It began at the QIC Headquarters in West Bay with warm up and stretch exercises. The participants also ran around the QIC headquarters.
To add an element of excitement, Prabu Mathivanan, a QIC employee enthralled the audience with a martial arts performance. Many employees also played basketball and table tennis.
"Over the years, QIC has seen a steady spike in the number of participants in what is celebrated as the largest sports festival in the country. It is indeed encouraging to see employees come together in large numbers to share their common commitment towards themselves and towards promoting a culture of wellness and fitness through sports," said Salem al-Mannai, Deputy Group
President & CEO of QIC- MENA region.
He said: "As a responsible employer, we want our employees to make positive and healthy choices. By arranging inspiring, exciting and engaging activities on National Sport Day, we not only want to encourage them to participate but also want them to meet their fitness goals."
