Oman- Al Suwadi Power Co helps schools build next generation classrooms

Al Suwadi Power Company (ASPC) which owns and operates the 744MW power generation plant in Barka worked with the local schools in their community recently to help them set up interactive classrooms and gifted smart electronic boards and projectors.

Representatives from ASPC went to Abd bin al Julanda Basic Education School in Barka to distribute four smart electronic boards. The school organised a small function where the gifts were received by Ali al Jabry assistant principal.

This was followed by a demonstration session for the teaching faculty by Yasser Talib al Balushi mathematics teacher. The highly-versatile and advanced boards will help students enjoy the learning process as it allows for a more graphical presentation of the curriculum. It enables teachers to impart knowledge in a more scientific communicative and collaborating manner.

The company also gifted five projectors for the classrooms of Al Amal Education School at Barka. They would assist the teachers in displaying information and educational material in a way that catches the attention of the young mind. The gifts were received on behalf of the school by Amal al Mawali assistant principal of Al Amal Education School who expressed her thanks to the company.
