Narcotics Smuggler Executed in Tabuk Region


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Tabuk, Rabi'II 29, 1437, February 08, 2016, SPA - The Ministry of Interior said in a statement issued today that Egyptian Smuggler Ibrahim Mohammed Salim Salman was executed in Tabuk Region today for attempting to smuggle a quantity of opium in his car. The Ministry said that the General Court convicted the smuggler; the sentence was endorsed by Appeal and Supreme Courts; and a royal order was issued to execute the sentence. The Ministry of Interior affirms that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is keen on combating narcotics due to their great harm to individuals and the society, warning anyone who tries to commit such actions that he will be punished according to Sharia. -SPA 13:12 LOCAL TIME 10:12 GMT
