Oman LNG signs 7 pacts to boost health social services

Characteristic of its many initiatives to promote social development in the country Oman LNG inked seven agreements to enhance and upgrade services and facilities from seven recognised care providers.

The agreements come as part of a collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development.

Oman LNG thereby continues to play a prominent role as the largest private sector investor in the sultanate's socio-economic fabric through its well-articulated social investment programme which is funded by 1.5 per cent of its net income after tax (NIAT).

In the first instance Oman LNG's support will facilitate the purchase of rehabilitation equipment for the autism centre working under the Association for the Welfare of Children with Disabilities. The second agreement will fund the establishment and provide equipment for an autism centre in Sur. Oman LNG signed a further five agreements together with the Omani Association for Down Syndrome the Omani Association of Elderly Friends the Omani Woman Association in the wilayats of Seeb Barka and Bukha.
