Oman- Travel and tour operators visit Costa Fortuna for familiarisation

A familiarisation event for travel and tour operators from Oman was organised on board cruise ship - Costa Fortuna on Sunday.

Tour operators in Oman explored and acquainted themselves with extensive facilities that the cruise liner offers. Speaking on board the cruise ship a senior official of Khimji's House of Travel which organised the trip said 'It is an initiative to help travel and tour operators familiarise themselves with the facilities offered by Costa cruises.'

A first-hand experience is beneficial to these operators as they can help clients choose the best cruise vacation the official added. 'The feedback from these representatives has been extremely positive.' Costa Crociere Cruises is one of Europe's largest cruise companies with a fleet of 15 ships and itineraries covering 250 destinations. Guests can choose from itineraries spanning seven to 115 days.

The Mediterranean cruises starting from Barcelona Savona or Civitavecchia cover Italy Spain and France. Cruises covering this region are operated throughout the year and not restricted to summer alone. Northern Europe itineraries include visits to cities like St Petersburg without the inconvenience of obtaining a visa.

The cruise ship arranges for it. Explaining the booking procedure the official said 'Cruise lovers can make their booking through any travel agent in Oman. They can also visit our dedicated cruise shop and seek the expert advice of our consultants.' Cruise packages are all inclusive of the stateroom all meals onboard entertainment and activities. For an extra fee guests can avail onshore excursions offered by cruise. Costa is also the only cruise company to accommodate children under the age of 18 travelling with their parents for free with only port taxes applicable the official said.
