Egypt's furniture exports touch USD 332mn in 2015


(MENAFN) Exports of furniture sector reached almost USD 332mn last year, compared with USD 0.32mn in 2014, marking an increase of 6 percent.

Accordingly, Saudi Arabia has seized 34.8 percent of the nation's furniture exports with USD 117.6mn pounds, trailed by UAE.

UAE was the second main importer of Egypt with imports estimated at USD 51.18mn pounds than Qatar whose imports worth USD 27.75mn pounds.

However, the sector is not predicted to attain the targeted increase rate of 15-20 percent yearly due to a number of issues notably the severe economic crisis.
