Oman- ECGA Dutch reinsurer discuss improving ties

Imaad al Harthy acting general manager of the Export Credit Guarantee Agency of Oman met Michiel de Smet senior reinsurance underwriter surety and credit of Netherlands-based reinsurer Nationale Borg-Maatschappij last week to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two entities.

During the meeting various topics concerning credit insurance were discussed as well as ways to increase and strengthen joint cooperation between both parties that will service the development of ECGA's systems.

Both officials also discussed the clauses of the reinsurance agreement and the technical advice provided by Nationale Borg to the ECGA.

This meeting comes within the framework of annual meetings and visits conducted by Nationale Borg to extend its services to the ECGA a press conference said on Sunday.

The ECGA has agreements with various international reinsurers which provide the necessary protection for the Agency to provide cover against commercial and non-commercial risks.
