Oman- MoCI's Industrial Excellence Awards to be presented tomorrow

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) will celebrate Oman Industry Day on February 9.

It is observed every year to mark the visit by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to the Rusayl Industrial Estate on February 9 1991.

The MoCI celebrates the occasion by holding an annual open meeting in which the Minister of Commerce and Industry meets manufacturers and others interested in the sector.

Factories winning the Sultan Qaboos Industrial Excellence Awards will be honoured at a special function.

The awards ceremony will be held at Shangri-La's Barr al Jissah Resort & Spa under the patronage of H E Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen al Shariqi inspector general for police and customs. It will be attended by ministers advisors undersecretaries and those interested in the industrial sector.

The celebration aims to identify the latest developments in Oman's industrial sector an MoCI press release said.
