Total, China seal crucial LNG supplement deal


(MENAFN) Total S.A., the French multinational integrated oil and Gas Company and one of the six "Supermajor" oil companies in the world, closed a new binding agreement with a subsidiary of ENN Energy Holdings Ltd.

ENN Energy Holdings Ltd, is one of the biggest Chinese gas distributors, and the deal basically consists of supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) for the delivery of half a million tons per year for up to 10 years in China.

Total is the first major firm to sign a binding LNG supply agreement with ENN, plus building partnerships with new LNG buyers such as ENN in China allows Total to expand its presence in this key LNG market.

Moreover, Total has also inked a 15-year sale and purchase contract for up to 1 million tons a year of LNG with China National Offshore Oil Corporation, a top Chinese oil firm, and the deal came into force in 2010.
