Germany's manufacturing orders fall 2.5pct in Dec

(MENAFN) Hinting at a weak industrial production at the start of the current year, little demand from local and Eurozone markets dragged German factory orders in December 2015, based on reports.

In December, data from German Federal Statistics Office revealed that German industrialists received 0.7pct less orders than in Nov, while new orders in this month rose monthly by 1.5 percent.

Compared with Nov, domestic orders dipped by 2.5pct, orders from the EZ declined by 6.9pct, whereas new orders from countries outside the common currency area improved by 5.5pct.

A growth relied on low jobless rate, raising wages, weak inflation and falling energy prices was vulnerable despite being robust, plus the lack of skilled workers also worried nearly half of German firms.
