Yuthar al Rawahy chairperson of OCA with the help of the staff members of The Royal Hospital paediatric oncology centre was host to over 26 children and parents. The event which marked World Cancer Day was also attended by parents staff members of The Royal Hospital.

It was pleasure to see the children and their parents getting a chance to enjoy themselves and for moment forget the discomfort pain and stresses.

Dar al Hanan serves as a temporary home for children from outside Muscat governorate undergoing treatment for cancer.

The children played games and were entertained by a magic show. They were given gifts to cheer them up. A bear shaped cake was donated by Ritz Carlton

Yuthar said 'These children usually don't go out of the hospital. The idea was to entertain them so that they can forget about their illness for a while. It gives us great pleasure to see them happy.

'We are grateful to director of hospital for providing us the venue to host this event. To see the joy and happiness on these children's faces is an award for us at OCA. We are also pleased that OCA is able to hold a small party annually for these children thanks to donations and support from sponsors and members of community.'
