(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) organised a one-week training session on the principles of disaster management in which 51 workers from Hamad Medical Corporation in addition to a number of students from medical schools took part.
The training session aims at providing the participants with the necessary skills and capacity to deal with various emergencies and disasters.
According to a press release issued by QRC, this course is designed to build national staff's capacity in disaster preparedness and response and prepare qualified teams to intervene in case of accidents.
This course is one of the most important training courses organised by QRC and represents the first phase for volunteers to learn the basics of preparedness and response in disaster management, the QRC said, adding that it comes as part of an integrated training programme.
