(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha, February 06 (QNA) - Qatar ladies team ended their campaign in the prestigious 3rd edition of Arab Women Sport Tournament 2016 (AWST) after being eliminated by Lebanese counterpart in the table tennis quarterfinals clash (team) held at Al Sharjah Equestrian Club, UAE, Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) said on its website on Saturday.
The prestigious AWST is bringing together female athletes from 17 Arab countries competing in eight games, including Equestrian (show jumping) volleyball, basketball, Athletics, Archery, shooting, fencing and table tennis.
In this prestigious tournament Qatar was represented by two teams , basketball and table tennis (teams, double and single).
Following defeat in team event, Qatar paddlers are ambitious looking for victory in double and single events to be held on Sunday and Monday respectively. (QNA)
