(MENAFN) Saudi Ministry of Health asked its different departments to review recent inventories to ensure the availability of medicine and medical devices.

Moreover, the reduction of health sector was 50 percent, while it was in line with attempts to reduce costs and streamline the ministry's operations.

Accordingly, this would be in maintaining with the times when there's need for wise and tight spending, and there is no need to stock up on medical items in the Kingdom.

The circular needed the cancelation of 30 percent of the items ordered from the producers; however there would not be cuts to spending on serums and vaccines.
