Singapore Airline income up 36 percent in Q3

(MENAFN) Singapore Airline (SIA) proclaimed that its net income jumped 36 percent from a year earlier, due to lower fuel expenses.

Moreover, revenue in the three months to Dec was USD 169mn, up from USD 144.6mn, while the airline benefited from lower group spending.

However, the gain faced losses valuing USD 106.36mn because of hedging and the regional currency's decline against the US dollar.

"We're also concerned over the pace of the economic recovery in the US. The outlook for the EU remains cloudy and there are also concerns about China," said founder of Endau.
