(MENAFN) AstraZeneca, the British pharmaceuticals gigantic, witnessed its net profits more than doubled in 2015, according to the recent reports.
Profit after tax came in at USD2.83 billion last year, as opposed to USD1.23 billion in 2014, as the London-based firm revealed in its earnings statement.
The company, which rejected a USD120-billion takeover bid from US rival Pfizer last year, is pursuing to reconstruct a portfolio of exclusive medicines.
The British-Swedish firm has a portfolio of products for top disease areas like cancer, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, infection, respiratory and inflammation.
