IMF to fund Pakistan with USD497m

(MENAFN) Pakistan expects to get its 10th funding aid from the International Monetary Fund, after concluding a series of constructive discussions from both sides, based on recent data.

The Islamic Republic is a rapidly developing nation which has a high potential to becoming one the world's largest economies, let alone it's already South Asia's second largest economy.

However, after decades of social instability, as of 2015, serious deficiencies in micromanagement and unbalanced macroeconomics in basic services such as energy generation had developed.

Moreover, the fact that it had its economy's structure shifting radically from a mainly agricultural to a strong service base, created a number of infrastructural issues, thus calling for overseas support.
