Qatar- Kerry Says Syrian Regime is Seeking Military Solution

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Washington February 04 (QNA) - US Secretary of State John Kerry said that the attacks by Syrian regime forces backed by Russian airstrikes on opposition-controlled areas indicates that the regime is seeking a military solution rather than a political one.
In a statement issued Wednesday Kerry called the Syrian regime and its supporters to stop shelling opposition areas especially Aleppo and lift the siege on civilians.
UN envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura on Wednesday announced a suspension of the Syrian peace talks in Geneva until February 25. (QNA)
