Denver CO - On January 21 2016 Verdict Studios LLC launched a Kickstarter campaign for Colony 42 a new immersive indie horror game to be released on Steam Greenlight.
“Colony 42 is a First-Person Horror Survival Game designed to work on a psychological level and traditional horror level. Colony 42 is aimed to scare in both big ways and subtle ways” says the creator “In this game the ambience will serve as an accomplice to scares and as a way of keeping you on your toes when you're not facing down an enemy.”
Alone lost and forgotten. You tread the dusty ruins of a deserted city-sized Nuclear Bunker in search of freedom… You are Dr. J. Donovan a genius biological scientist hired by the government to work on a project known only as Project: Winter . But months into development the virus mutated beyond expectation and broke free.
The team at Verdict Studios is working hard to create AI mechanics that will cause the player to use the environment carefully and logically with interesting and complex environments that scream for you to explore them in greater detail and across multiple play-throughs. There's a lot of secrets throughout these levels so keep an eye out!
In order to successfully release the Steam Greenlight version of this game the team is looking to raise at least $10000 by February 20 2016. An Xbox One edition and a PlayStation 4 edition will be made available if stretch goals are met.
“We've been planning this game for some time” the team explains “Currently we have a playable Alpha stage where we can explore the first level and beginnings of game mechanics. This section of the game can be explored in the Demo but we're still in need of a lot more help and assets to fully realize the game.”
In exchange for pledging to the project backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including a digital copy of the game and an exclusive poster for $20 two hard copies of the game and the chance to design an in-game company for the Colony 42 marketplace district for $50 and more! Backers can also pledge $100 for a limited Doctor Edition or Winter Edition copy of the game with exclusive 3D printed statues the game's original soundtrack a hard copy of the game and an exclusive Doctors Journal.
