Ronaldo's Frequent Trips to Morocco Continue to Raise Questions in Spain

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Real Madrid super star Cristiano Ronaldo has Spanish press wondering about the real reasons behind his frequent trip to Morocco. The Portuguese striker made headlines this week after he made another trip to Morocco following his hat trick against Espanyolon Sundayin Madrid.

The three-time Ballon d'Or winner posted several pictures of himself and his family enjoying Marrakech's beautiful weather. Ronaldo's trip comes just a couple of weeks after Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez decided to ban his player from travelling again to Morocco. In the last three months of 2015 Ronaldo was travelling up to four times a week to Morocco at the end of his training sessions with the Blancos.

Following the dismissal and replacement of Real Madrid's head coach Rafael Benitez with Zinedine Zidane Perez asked his players to cut back on trips during the season for fear that these trips may have a negative impact on the players' performance on the pitch.

However it seems that the Portuguese star could not care less about his president's decision. Immediately after the Espanyol match he flew onboard his jet to Marrakech along with family. Ronaldo's insistence to travel to Morocco makes Spanish media speculate about the main reason behind it.

Spanish news website El Periodico described Ronaldo's frequent trips to Morocco as one of the 'topics of the season.'

'CristianoRonaldo'scontroversialtripsto Moroccoremaina puzzle toFlorentinoPerez' stated El Periodicoon Thursday.

Ronaldo's trips to Morocco and his pictures with his friend Moroccan kickboxer Badr Hari prompted European media to make the unsubstantiated claim that the two athletes are in a gay relationship.

This time around Ronaldo posted no picture of himself and his Moroccan friend. He shared pictures of himself with his son as well as other pictures of his mother and his son enjoying Marrakech.

On Tuesdaynight he posted a picture where he appears with his mother his son his Moroccan friendOuzifi Anis a 27-year-old agent 'accredited' by FIFA and another person. The picture goes with caption 'Business done thank you Morocco.' He also posted another picture where he seen inside a luxurious mansion in Marrakech.

Is Ronaldo seeking to launch a business in Morocco? Or is he seeking to buy a mansion as many international stars have done before him? One can only begin to speculate.
