Brunei keen to export hydrocarbon products for India

(MENAFN) India's developing economy and swelling energy needs is attracting many eager nations, like the oil and gas-rich country, Brunei, which was offered a gold opportunity to enhance and boost export of hydrocarbons.

Accordingly, the constantly growing Indian economy also gives Brunei an opportunity to move beyond the typical energy seller-buyer relationship, hence to diversify and do value-addition in the hydrocarbon export chain.

On the other hand, India is also keen to work with Brunei in building a fertilizer plant that would make use of the hydrocarbon resources available here for making fertilizers to meet agricultural requirement in India.

"Our new 'Make in India' initiative opens up new vistas for investments from ASEAN into India. These include sectors such as smart cities, roads and highways, ports, railways, power and urban infrastructure," said the Indian president.
