(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani called Tuesday on achieving bigger trade volumes between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Minister's comments came during the second meeting of the Joint Qatari-Tajik committee for economic cooperation. Along with HE the Minister of Economy, the committee is chaired on the Tajik side by their Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nematullo Hikmatullozoda.
HE the Qatari minister gave a speech during the meeting in which he reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed the desire to enhance cooperation in all fields.
The two sides reviewed relations in the trade and investment fields. They also explored opportunities in many other sectors, including transport, energy, industry, mining, education, agriculture and tourism. The committee agreed to take the necessary steps that will facilitate increasing bilateral trade.
