(MENAFN) The oil rich nation isn't famous only for its petroleum massive reserves, there's also other commodities it exports in masses, like saffron for instance.
The Islamic Republic shipped out a little over 76 tons of saffron worth up to USD110 million throughout the ten months to January-20, but this figure reflected a drop.
Mainly driven by the fluctuations in prices, which were followed naturally by a weak demand, saffron exports has seen a 35-percent fall compared to the same period of last year.
However, the recent sanctions relief will definitely enable shipping the saffron to new destinations that were banned during the sanctions, such as the United States.
