Sheikha Moza to attend meet on Syria in London tomorrow

Doha: H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser founder and chairperson of the Education Above All Foundation (EAA) will participate in the Supporting Syria and the Region conference in London tomorrow.

The conference is being organised by United Kingdom Germany Norway Kuwait and the United Nations. It will bring together world leaders to raise fresh funds to respond to the humanitarian crisis facing Syrians inside the war-ravaged country as well as in neighbouring countries.

Sheikha Moza will take part in a panel on the sidelines of the summit which will focus on solutions to provide education to over three million Syrian children affected by war. Sheikha Moza recently appointed by UN chief Ban Ki-moon as a member of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Advocacy Group will discuss the steps of EAA in providing quality primary education to millions of out-of-school children across the world including Syrian refugee children.QNA
