Hosts Qatar down Kuwait in GCC Ice Hockey Chionship

DOHA: Hosts Qatar’s National Ice Hockey team made a convincing 5-3 victory over Kuwait in the last four stage match of the GCC Ice Hockey Championship 2016 held at Villagio Mall on Monday.

With this victory hosts Qatar reached the final and now will face United Arab Emirates in the title clash on Tuesday.

Qatar’s Ahmed Fakhro was picked as the best player of the match due to his impressive performance in Monday’s game.

The event is organized by the Qatar Winter Sports Committee (QWSC) from January 28 to February 2 with participation of four GCC nations including hosts Qatar UAE Kuwait and Oman.

The Qatar squad: Saud Rabea Al Kuwari Abdullah Ibrahim Al Sulaiti Thamerr Abdullah Al Mohannadi Ahmad Fakhro Nayef Al Rumaihi Abdullah Al Amir Ali Al Amir Abdullah Al Banai Mohammad Khalaf Mohammad Al Kaabi Jassim Al Sheep Saud Al Kuwari Saad Al Meselmani Ahmad Al Sulaiti Mohammad Waleed Abdulaziz Fakhro Mohamad Al Mehaizaa Jassim Fakhro Turkey Al Haidus and Abdulrahman Al Ashqar.
