Jordan- King leaves for Britain, Ireland


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Feb. 2 (Petra)--His Majesty King Abdullah II accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah left for a working visit to London on Tuesday where His Majesty will take part in the donors conference that will be attended by a number of heads of states representatives of humanitarian and relief organizations as well as international leaders.

The King will deliver a speech during the opening session that will focus on a number of measures to support host countries of Syrian refugees mainly Jordan and enable them to shouldered the burden of providing the refugees with humanitarian and relief services.

King Abdullah will also meet in London with foreign leaders and officials taking part in the conference in addition to British parliamentarians and well as intellectual and political figures.

From London His Majesty will depart to the Irish capital Dublin where he will hold talks with Irish President Michael D. Higgins and a number of senior Irish officials on regional and international issues as well as cooperation between the two countries.

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as regent in the presence of Cabinet members.
