Kuwait celebrates formative arts festival
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Society for Formative Arts celebrated the Kuwait festival for formative creativity late Monday as part of the "Kuwait Capital of Islamic Culture 2016" festival.In his opening speech at the ceremony the society's chairman Abdulrasool Salman said that 107 artists participated in the tenth round of the festival with 62 artists. The winners were competing for three prizes including His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah prize Sheikha Salwa Al-Sabah and Sheikha Futooh Al-Sabah prizes he added.The ceremony held under the patronage of the Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs and honorary chairman of the society Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was attended by Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and his wife as well as senior officials from the National Council for Culture Arts and Letters (NCCAL) and a number of artists.(end) hjb.tb.ag
