Kuwait- 'Wasta' did it

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Ex-mother in-law of Egyptian singer Angham has asked Kuwait's security officials if the artist will be participating in the concerts of Hala February 2016. She is surprised that Angham's name has been lifted from the blacklist despite a judicial request was approved for her arrest upon arrival at Kuwait airport to enforce a verdict registered at the department of sentence enforcement in Sulaibiya, reports Al-Rai daily.

Mother of Angham's ex-husband said she visited the airport in person to make sure that Angham's name was included in the list of wanted people in accordance with the judicial verdict. However, an officer at the department of airport security said the name of the artist was lifted although it should be registered in the system, indicating a strong wasta hindered the enforcement of the verdict.

She stressed the official promoter of the event is positive that Angham will participate in the concert on Feb 12 alongside Saudi Artist Mohammad Abdo. Al-Seyassah daily also reported that Egyptian singer Angham is getting ready for Kuwait in the next few days to participate in the concert.
