Iran eyes trade alliance with Afghanistan

(MENAFN) Iran has recognized and realized long ago the lucrative market of neighboring Afghanistan, and the fact that it's strategic for Iranian merchants, but now it intends to do something about it, amid terminating the sanctions.

Additionally, the Islamic Republic has an upcoming exclusive exhibition in the Afghan capital of Kabul, and such expos can serve as venues for dialogue with foreign countries and for presenting the oil-rich nation's economic capabilities.

In accordance, presence in the Afghan market is crucial and considered to be necessary for Iran because it can have economic activities there in the long run, although Afghanistan is not considered a new market.

"The presence of numerous Afghans in Iran and their familiarity with Iranian culture and products put them in a better position for marketing the products in Afghanistan than anyone else," stated an Iranian official.
