Qatar to take on Kuwait in GCC Ice Hockey Chionship 2016

Doha: The Qatari Ice Hockey team will play with Kuwaiti counterparts in the semifinals of the 4th edition of GCC Ice Hockey Championship on Monday.
The championship kicked off at Villagio’s Ice rink on Thursday.
The prestigious event is organized by the Qatar Winter Sports Committee (QWSC) from January 28 to February 2 with participation of four GCC nations including hosts Qatar UAE Kuwait and Sultanate of Oman according to Olympic committee website.
The Qatar squad includes; Saud Rabea Al Kuwari Abdullah Ibrahim Al Sulaiti Thamerr Abdullah Al Mohannadi Ahmad Fakhro Nayef Al Rumaihi Abdullah Al Amir Ali Al Amir Abdullah Al Banai Mohammad Khalaf Mohammad Al Kaabi Jassim Al Sheep Saud Al Kuwari Saad Al Meselmani Ahmad Al Sulaiti Mohammad Waleed Abdulaziz Fakhro Mohamad Al Mehaizaa Jassim Fakhro Turkey Al Haidus and Abdulrahman Al Ashqar.
Earlier on Saturday Qatar defeated Oman 5-3.
The GCC Ice Hockey Championship is an international ice Hockey competition involving countries from all GCC Area. The inaugural tournament took place in Kuwait.
