UAE- MoL wins best government website award at Summit International Awards

ABU DHABI 1st February 2016 (WAM) -- The Ministry of Labour webpage has recently won the 'Leader Award' in the government websites category ranking first amongst 1300 other pages from 11 countries worldwide after competing at the Summit International Awards.

Speaking about the achievement Ahmed Al Nasser Director of Information Technology Department at the Ministry and head of the website development team said "This achievement reflects the ministry's excellence in the provision of services especially since the website is one of the main channels to provide labour services that the ministry is keen to promote to meet the expectations of customers and needs."

Hussain Al Alili Deputy Director of the Government Communications Department said "Winning the award was the result of active efforts by the ministry to develop its content and the application of international standards in the development of the websites' structure and provide better services as per the directives of Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash Minister of Labour and the need to promote the smart government initiative in various sectors especially in areas of services."

The site provides clients and visitors an opportunity to obtain information and data accurately according to its validity of entry and completion of transactions. 'eNetwasal' was recorded as one of the most important services provided by the website for employers and workers.

The Summit Emerging Media Award evolved through a need to recognise and celebrate creativity innovation and those pushing the bounds of creative excellence in all forms of emerging media.
