UAE- Dar Al Ber obtains ISO 9001 for quality management

DUBAI 1st February 2016 (WAM) -- Dar Al Ber Society DABS has met the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 for quality management system in a bid to ensure consistency of set procedures and administrative regulations.

The 37-year-old association is the first ever charitable and humanitarian entity in the world to obtain the international certificate granted by the British Lloyd's Register Company.

Abdullah bin Zayed the Executive Director of Dar Al Ber Society said that the society spares no effort to regularly update its systems cope with the latest international developments and adopt the best practices worldwide. "To this end Dar Al Ber has been observing and following the quality management system ISO 9001 since 2004."

The pioneering strategy and vision of Dar Al Ber whereby it expands its charitable humanitarian and cultural works have been sufficient for the Lloyd's Register to grant it the certificate he added.

Bin Zayed said the Society has also been able to professionally design its operations as was the case with the SIPOC project.

According to the Lloyd's Register report Dar Al Ber senior management pays attention to its quality management system observes its standards and adopts an unceasing process of development and improvement.

Dar Al Ber's ambition to develop its charity services is inspired by the overwhelming progress of the UAE and the relentless support of the leadership for philanthropic work Bin Zayed highlighted.

Fadi Abdul Haleem Head of the Performance Development Section said the Quality and Administrative Development Department in Dar Al Ber is following clear procedures under the supervision and support of the senior management to ensure a proper development process.

"This has been made possible by meeting the requirements of the ISO 9001 system and observing a number of specific mechanisms standards and plans to reach the aspired for results."
