UAE- Shaikh Khalifa Medical City Dialysis Centre completed

The Abu Dhabi General Services Musanada has announced the completion of the Shaikh Khalifa Medical City Dialysis Centre at a total cost of Dh140 million. The Dialysis Centre will be handed over to Abu Dhabi Health Services Company this week.

The construction of the centre comes within the framework of Musanada's keenness to embody the vision of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the implementation of the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and to achieve the vision of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi represented in continuing work on the establishment of a secure and confident society and build a globally competitive open and sustainable economy.

The centre which extends over an area of nearly 10057 square meters provides dialysis treatment services for residents of Abu Dhabi city and its surroundings through a state-of-the-art facility.

Ali Alhaj Al Mehairbi Acting Executive Director Buildings Construction Management at Musanada said "The centre will include 66 kidney dialysis units in addition to other departments. The project includes 6276 square meters devoted to infrastructure and parks. It incorporates the latest high-quality medical technologies and devices which will contribute to the provision of world-class medical care to patients as well as covering the needs of the expected increase in population in the coming years.

"The centre has been designed to meet future healthcare needs in order to provide patients with high-quality healthcare services. The new centre has been designed according to sustainability criteria that take into account a reduction in energy and water consumption. The design was created according to the latest international medical standards which provide an ideal environment for healing and comforting the sick and simultaneously take into account the privacy and traditions of the UAE" Al Mehairbi concluded.
