Egypt South Valley Co. to cooperate with Chinese firm


(MENAFN) South Valley Cement Company confirmed to collaborate with Chinese firm 'Sinoma CDI' to change its facility to rely on coal as energy source with cost of USD 19.5mn.

Additionally, the production of cement using coal predicted to start amid 15 months, which signed a deal with the same Chinese Co. to add an eternal line at USD 37.36mn.

While in 2015, Mehleb officially emphasized the regulations for coal use two years after discussions started in light of a significant natural gas lack.

Moreover, many firms changed some of their production lines to coal in 2015, involving Suez Cement, Titan Cement and Arabian Cement.
