Jordan- Relatively cold weather forecast till Tuesday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Jan.31 (Petra) --A slight rise in temperatures is expected Sunday but they will remain around their annual average; therefore it will be relatively cold in most parts of the Kingdom and mild in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with southeasterly moderate winds .

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) cold conditions are forecast to prevail at night across the country with frost formation in the hilly areas the Badia regions and parts of the northern Jordan Valley.

A slight drop in temperatures is forecast on Monday; therefore it will be relatively cold in most regions and mild in the Jordan Valley the Gulf of Aqaba and the Dead Sea the JMD added.

Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk with clouds at various altitudes and a chance for scattered showers of rain mainly in the northern region.

Maximum temperatures expected in the capital for today will reach a high of 13 degrees Celsius dropping down to 4 degrees at night in the central and southern regions they will register a high of 12 degrees during daytime plunging to one degree below zero while mercury in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 20 degrees slipping to 8 degrees at night.
