Egypt- Emerging markets rise for second week


(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) For the second consecutive week, the MSCI Emerging Markets Index increased from about 712 to 742.37 points and surging for three days during the past week.

Since the beginning of the oil price crisis, emerging markets have been experience a notable decline; the worst experienced in the market since the economic crisis in 2008.

During the past week, the price of oil surged to $36 per barrel then declined again to $34 per barrel. Two weeks ago, the price of a barrel of Brent oil reached $28.94, the lowest in 13 years.
