Egyptian minister lauds UAE s cultural progress

CAIRO 30th January 2016 (WAM) - Egyptian Culture Minister Hamdy Al Namnam has lauded the outstanding cultural progress attained by the UAE under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Al Namnam made the remark while touring the UAE Pavilion at the 47th Cairo International Book Fair. The Pavilion is being organised by the UAE Ministry of Culture Youth and Community Development and displays publications by nine different UAE publishers in addition to the ministry's publications.

The Egyptian minister said the UAE had come a long way in terms of cultural progress thanks to the unlimited support given by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also praised the efforts made by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Culture Youth and Community Development for his innovative initiative to enrich the UAE's cultural scene.

Al Namnam revealed that the UAE and Egypt will sign a number of agreements and protocols for cultural cooperation and referred to the continuous exchange of visits by officials of the two countries which have positive impact on the Emirati and Egyptian intellectuals writers and artists.
