Kuwait- Cameron meets EU leaders on migration EU membership


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS Jan 29 (KUNA) -- British Prime Minister David Cameron met separately Presidents of European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and European Parliament Martin Schulz Friday to discuss migrant crisis and EU-Britain negotiations Britain's membership."We never dramatise the meetings that the President has with his interlocutor" Juncker's spokesman Margaritas Schinas told reporters.He noted that the issue of Britain membership will be discussed by EU leaders during their summit in Brussels in February."Things are proceeding its course. The Commission is a facilitator in these discussion and negotiations which are being held under the auspices of the President of the European Council Donald Tusk who will meet Cameron in London on Sunday" he added.The meeting between Cameron and Schulz revolved around Britain demands for changes to its relationship with Europe ahead of a referendum on the country's membership of the EU. The British vote will also be on the agenda of the upcoming EU summit on 18-19 February noted an EP statement.Schulz highlighted Parliament's commitment to a positive result from the EU-Britain negotiations saying.
