UAE ministry of culture's wing praised at 47th Cairo Book Fair

Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail praised the UAE Ministry of Culture Youth and Community Development's wing at the 47th Cairo International Book Fair in which nine different Emirati cultural institutions displayed their works.

He said that culture is one of the most important means of communication and cooperation between people. He stressed that relations between Egypt and the UAE are deep in all fields adding that the UAE is witnessing a revival of culture.

Ismail wished the UAE further progress and success under its wise leadership led by the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He visited the wing of the UAE Ministry of Culture Youth and Community Development at the Cairo International Book Fair accompanied by Egyptian Culture Minister Helmi Al Nemnem and a number of ministers and ambassadors where they toured the components of the wing including publications by the Ministry of Culture Youth and Community Development the National Archives the Union of the Emirates Writers Sultan bin Zayed Culture and Media Centre Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage Fujairah Culture and Media Authority Culture and Science Symposium Department of Culture and Information - Government of Sharjah and the Emirates Publishers Association.

Afra Al Sabri Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture Youth and Community Development confirmed that the participation of the ministry in the Cairo International Book Fair is part of the vision of Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Culture Youth and Community Development which aims to introduce the UAE creativity to the Egyptian and Arab public through an integrated plan focusing on delivering the cultural product of the UAE to the Arab world and highlighting the bright image of the UAE and its heritage arts and literature.

He further said that the Cairo International Book Fair is an opportunity for cultural exchange and participation in the ongoing cultural dialogue about the development of the book using the latest technological methods available.

Al Sabri added that the huge turnout to the wing of the Ministry of Culture Youth and Community Development from intellectuals journalists and Egyptian people confirms the great interest in the Emirati culture in general where the wing turned into an arena of cultural dialogue for communication and cooperation.
