The security circuit of the supreme federal court heard the testimonies given by the prosecution witnesses in a case known as the Reem Island Ghost case.

The court listened to the husband of the convict a 34-year-old Emirati identified only as M.A.H.

Arabic daily Al Roeya reported that the husband of Al Reem ghost had pledged allegiance to the head of Daesh in a voice recording. He and his wife repeated their loyalty to the Daesh chief and installed himself as an emir to what he called the 'Daesh group in the UAE'.

Earlier the state security prosecution in its referral order brought seven charges against the accused especially for joining the Daesh terror group and planning to commit terrorist crimes in the country such as targeting the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi and the tourist buses that transport foreigners on Abu Dhabi Corniche.

The prosecution also leveled the charge of planning to assassinate a UAE national figure and making handmade bombs to fulfil his plot against him.

The accused however tried to travel to Syria and Iraq where Daesh exercises its control over vast areas but he could not and kept up his terrorist acts in the country.

It is worth noting that the wife of the accused -- the prime accused -- 30-year-old Alaa Al Hashemi was executed in July last year after she had been convicted of stabbing to death American teacher Ibolya Ryan in a shopping mall in Abu Dhabi early in December 2014.
