Jordan- Cold conditions forecast frost formation across the Kingdom


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Jan.28 (Petra) ---The weather on Thursday is expected to be chilly in most parts of the country and relatively cold in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with clouds at various altitudes .

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) winds will be northeasterly light to moderate with frost formation across the Kingdom during the night .

A slight rise in temperatures is forecast Friday but it will remain chilly in most parts of the Kingdom and relatively cold in the Jordan Valley the Gulf of Aqaba and the Dead Sea with clouds at different altitudes. Winds will be easterly moderate with frost formation in most regions JMD forecaster said.

Mercury levels expected in Amman for today will reach a high of 7 degrees Celsius dropping down to zero degree at night in the northern regions they will reach a high of 5 degrees slipping down to 3 degrees below zero. Temperatures in the central regions will range between a high of 4 degrees during daytime plunging to 2 degrees below zero in the southern parts they will reach 7 degrees dropping down to one degree below zero while mercury levels will hit 15 degrees dropping down to 6 degrees at night.
