Qatar- TEDxYouthDPSMIS discusses 'the power of uncertainty'

Doha: The 1st edition of TEDxYouthDPSMIS was held in the school auditorium recently. The theme of the event was “The Power of Uncertainty”. The goal of this event was to communicate ideas that will make people embrace uncertainty. Not knowing something makes us strive and opens opportunities for growth. It gives us the motivation to evolve and grow. The five speakers who shared the ideas on this occasion were: AbhipraySahoo Graduate of Rice University (Class of 2015); Cyril Anand Assistant Director of Ooredoo; Dr AnuJossan Business & Economics Professor; Adulraman Sajid COO The Youth Company; Nawaal Akram a member of the Qatar Paralympics Team a model and a standup comedian.

The ideas discussed were on a wide range of topics from neuroscience start-ups being prepared for the future by turning problems into opportunities risk-taking and facing disabilities. The event was planned and executed by a team of nine students of Grade XII of DPS-MIS and who were supported by the school Management.

Being a youth event the participants were young students from both Indian and International schools. The event ended with dinner and the participants sharing their ideas on the idea wall that was specially created for this occasion.
